Please enter the building from the main entrance. When you get to Suite 550, please sign in on the iPad at the front desk, by searching for Direct Source Physical Therapy. Once signed in, your physical therapist will be alerted that you have arrived. Feel free to have a seat on the couch in the waiting area and your physical therapist will come out to greet you within a few minutes of your scheduled appointment time.
During the first visit, your doctor of physical therapy (DPT) will spend time getting to know you, and your lifestyle, which may be contributing to your current symptoms, and your goals. You will receive education regarding the involved anatomy using premium technology that is straightforward and easy to understand and will thoroughly explain what is occurring throughout the course of the treatment. When the areas of muscular imbalance, postural discrepancies, and altered movement patterns are determined, you and your DPT will discuss treatment options. You will likely be prescribed a home exercise program and receive hands-on treatment at your first session. If possible, please wear athletic attire, such as shorts and a t-shirt to your visit.
-
At your first visit, you will work one-on-one with your physical therapist, who will perform a thorough evaluation consisting of a complete medical history review, screening for serious conditions, strength and range of motion testing, as well as posture and movement analyses. We will also help coordinate your care with your other practitioners including your physicians, personal trainers, family members, massage therapists, chiropractors, and others at your discretion. Direct Source Physical Therapy (DSPT) is a cash-based physical therapy clinic. In this model of healthcare, patients pay directly for physical therapy services instead of utilizing third-party payers. This approach allows patients to receive the care they need without incurring excessive costs or facing enrollment restrictions imposed by insurance companies.
DSPT is considered “Out of Network” with all major insurance companies, which means that before you book there is complete transparency regarding session costs with no hidden fees. We require payment at the time of service by credit card or health savings account. At the end of each session, you will receive a superbill (a receipt of the service) which you can self-submit to your out-of-network insurance for potential reimbursement.

Yes, in most cases! Most major insurance plans have out-of-network coverage for which you can receive reimbursement for some or all the cost of care at DSPT. Please note: the amount you are reimbursed is dependent on your “Out-Of-Network Physical Therapy” expense benefits.

Being out-of-network allows our physical therapist the autonomy to treat the whole person and provide highly personalized, expert care when you need it most. Our rates are transparent and are often more cost-efficient than in-network cash rates applied to your deductible.

Colorado is a direct access state, meaning you can see a physical therapist at any point that you have pain or injury without a referral. This is beneficial since research shows that the sooner you see a PT, the better your outcomes will be. However, some insurances do require a referral before your first treatment if you’d like to seek reimbursement from your insurance.
